Never Received Unemployment Card

For timely receipt of funds, you will need to sign-up for Electronic Direct Deposit (EDD). EDD permits delivery of your aid (after deduction of University charges) directly to your checking account. For those who do not participate in the EDD Program, your checks will be MAILED to your permanent address on file. We will mail checks within fourteen business days of the disbursement date.

1. To set up direct deposit transfer from your debit card to your bank account, visit the Bank of America EDD Debit Card website. For more information on the EDD Debit Card, visit EDD Debit Card. About your EDD Debit Card If you were issued an EDD Debit Card in the last three years, you will receive your benefit payments on that card.
2. Mar 02, 2021 Direct deposit With direct deposit, we electronically transfer your weekly benefit payment into your checking or savings account at your bank, credit union, or savings and loan. To apply for direct deposit you will need your routing and account numbers.
3. Direct deposit transfers cannot be performed until you receive and activate the EDD Debit Card SM. You do not need a checking or savings account with Bank of America to set up a direct deposit transfer to your own bank account with another banking institution. Direct deposit transfers can be set up as a one-time transfer or as an automatic.

1. Deadline Spring Semester 2021: Submitting via PAWS - January 25, 2021
2. Establish a checking account, via the bank of your choice or the University of South Alabama Credit Union.

   • Select PAWS from the directory
   • Click Student Services and Financial Aid
   • Click Student Records
   • Click Direct Deposit Information (Enter Banking Information)
3. Complete all Federal Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements as specified by the Financial Aid Office, including pre-loan counseling and loan promissory notes.
   
4. Ensure that you are enrolled in the appropriate number of credit hours and your personal information on PAWS is current.
5. Ensure that the University always has your current permanent address. You can update your personal information on PAWS.
6. View your EDD information and make changes at any time through PAWS.
